We started this job on Monday and we finished it on Wednesday. It was almost 900 square fee of 1.5 inch red oak hardwood flooring in a 1930 duplex off of Lyndale Ave in South Minneapolis. The house was is pretty good condition, it just needed fresh paint and the hardwood floors to be refinished to bring it back to life. I had a feeling the floors were going to be grimy, which means the finish will be difficult to remove and will require a lot of low grit paper to sand through it.

It ended up not being as bad as I though, which was a relief. It cleaned up nice. There were a few stain spots that I was worried about, but we got them removed. I like oak because there are a lot of grain patterns, it is a strong wood, and it goes well which pretty much any furniture or decorative style. We did any oil based satin finish on this floor.

If you have red oak hardwood flooring and want to know what they will look like if you get them refinished, thenĀ this is an good example. Thank a lot.
