St. Louis Park Floor Sanding

by admin on October 6, 2008

I was getting my oil changed on my truck the other day.  I was off of 394 and Louisiana at the Rapid Oil Change in St. Louis Park.  I got it changed for $19.  I thought that was a pretty good deal.  The economy is slowing down, but that is not a bad thing.  Usually, when things get tough, that is when there are a lot of deals. Right now houses are cheap, stocks are cheap, oil and silver are cheap commodities. I think it is a great time to invest in assets right now. A lot of economic growth and prosperity is psychological. If people think stuff is good, then it is. If they think it is bad then it is not. The way to capitalize on current market conditions is to know that most people think stuff is bad, so many are willing to take less, cut prices and give good deals. This is the time to make money. When everybody is too scared to do anything, there is less competition. My hardwood flooring company was very busy in September and I am very grateful for that. I hope we can keep sanding floors in the future. I don’t want the economy too get too bad, then I will be out of work. But if you’re looking to get your St. Louis Park hardwood floors refinished before the holiday season, give me a call and I will gladly provide you with a hardwood flooring estimate.

Minneapolis Wood Floor Sanding and Refinishing

by admin on June 28, 2008

Most houses in Minneapolis have hardwood floors. Anything built from 1900-1965, which makes up the majority of homes in Minneapolis has hardwood floors. Older two story houses built in the 1900-1920s usually have 2 1/4 inch maple floors, sometimes birch, and most homes from 1930-1965, 1.5 story Cape Cods, or one story ramblers have 1.5 inch red oak.

The older 1920’s houses usually are more difficult to sand and refinish because the foundations on the houses have settled more, which has causes the floors to be un-level. [click to continue...]
